July is Vacation Month

JULY IS VACATION MONTH for many people. Some people go to the beach, some go to Disney, some go to the mountains, etc. I know the hour is late, but if you are looking for somewhere to go or something to do, let me make a suggestion. How about taking a trip to northern Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter? I have visited them both and can highly recommend them. Both are located right up Interstate 75.

THE CREATION MUSEUM is about as far north as you can go and still be in Kentucky. It is just south of Cincinnati and the Ohio River. The Creation Museum is an educational and spiritual experience. Everything about it is first-class. It will answer such questions as: Did God create the world in six literal days? Were there dinosaurs and, if so, what happened to them? There are seminars every day and sometimes Ken Hamm, the inspiration behind the Creation Museum, is one of the speakers. It will take a full day to go through the museum and it is not boring.

THE ARK ENCOUNTER is about a 45-minute drive south of the Creation Museum. The Ark is a re-creation of the Ark that was built by Noah in Genesis 6. It is the actual size of Noah’s ark. It is HUGE and it is incredible. There are cages and automated animals that are life-like. There are rooms for Noah and his family and exhibits on how the animals were fed and watered. Everything about the experience is first-class. It will take another full day to tour the Ark.

PRAY FOR CHILDREN’S CAMP this week. This camp is for kids who have completed the 2nd grade through 5th grade. They will leave tomorrow morning and return on Thursday.
