Celebrate Easter

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY we will celebrate Easter. It is the most glorious day of the year! Although we gather to celebrate the risen Savior every Lord’s Day, there is something special about Easter Sunday. For the last few years, we have celebrated the entire weekend, and we will do it again this year. So, here is what you can look forward to on Easter Weekend at Westside:

ON FRIDAY, MARCH 30, we will gather for our annual Passion Service. The purpose of the service is to remember that Jesus died on the cross for our sin. We have done different things for this service. We have had a dramatic presentation, shown a movie, or heard a musical artist. This year, the Westside Generational Choir and Orchestra are going to present a concert. It will be a night of soul-stirring and uplifting music that will take you to the cross. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m.

ON SATURDAY, MARCH 31, we will have our annual Easter Eggstravaganza. There will be food, games, and an egg hunt. There will be hundreds of children and hundreds of eggs for them to hunt! The egg hunts are age-graded. Before each grade hunts the eggs, the children and the adults who bring them will be told the message of Easter. This event takes place in the back parking lot and around the pond. The Eggstravaganza will begin at 10 a.m.

ON SUNDAY, APRIL 1, we will celebrate Easter Sunday. This year we are offering two identical worship services. The early service will begin at 8 a.m. and the late service will begin at 10:45 a.m. Connection Groups will be sandwiched between the two services at 9:30 a.m. You can attend the early service and go to a Connection Group, or come to Connection Groups and attend the late service.

THIS IS THE TIME to be inviting people to celebrate Easter Weekend at Westside! Pick up some materials on the tables in the foyer and give them to those you invite.
