Dear Westside Family,

The COVID-19, better known as the Coronavirus, has changed America, and the way we do church.  In an attempt to follow the directions of our city, state, and national leaders, we are cancelling all services and activities until further notice.  I cannot tell you how hard that is for me to do or type!  However, I believe it is the wise thing to do.  I can assure you that as soon as it is safe to do so, we will resume all services!

For now, we are going all digital. You will be able to view our service each Sunday morning at 10:45 on the church website, Facebook page, or on the Westside Baptist Church YouTube channel.  This will be a live service that will give you an opportunity stay connected with your church.  It’s going to be different, but it is also going to be good!  You can also listen to our services on WROS radio at AM1050.

Yesterday morning I shared a devotion with our staff from Psalm 46:1-11.  I encourage you to read it as well.  It is the text behind the song, “A Mighty Fortress is our God.”  It reminds us that God is our haven (vv.1-3), our help (vv.4-7), and our hope (vv.8-11).    Twice the psalmist said, “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge (vv.7, 11).”  That is great news!

I love you all and long for the day when we can gather together to worship!  Please pray for our leaders, pray for those who have lost loved ones, pray for those who have contracted the virus, and pray the virus will soon be contained and gone!

Glad I’m Your Pastor,
Bro. Keith
